POT
Marijuana remains illegal in most countries. Despite its illegality, recreational users, medicinal users and addicts have been able to evade laws and get high. The issues surrounding the question of legalization are complex – and invite many questions – but to start with the most obvious:
Should marijuana be legalized?
If yes: for who?

The legalization of pot will reduce the black market trade??? Maybe only for marijuana. One mush not fail to realize that just because "criminals" cannot trade pot on the black market doesnt mean that they (criminals/deviants/assbags/whatever) will disappear..rather, they will find other sources of income that are as, or more dangerous than smuggling and selling pot.
Marijuana trafficking is fairly benign. Take those same individuals with the knowledge and ability to transfer large amounts of drugs and force them, because of legalization, into what is defintely a more lucrative drug trade...cocaine, herion, meth,etc...where the much higher profits induce much more violent behaviour...and it really doesnt seem all that pointless...It happens, but how often do you read about somebody being gunned down over a dimebag. Take the lesser of two evils...
